Activator for early sowing of sunflower seeds VIMPEL maxi NS (NIVA)

VIMPEL^® MAXI NS – formulation for seed treatment of sunflower seeds.

APPLICATION OF VIMPEL^® MAXI NS FORMULATION: preserves sunflower seeds in cold soil, making it possible to start the sowing campaign 3-4 weeks before the optimal sowing date.

FUNCTIONS

Due to the clearly defined amount of active substances in the formulation and the recommended application rate of 5 L/t, the formulation ensures the formation of a reliable film on the surface of the seeds, which at the same time does not prevent the penetration of moisture. This film has the following functions:

• due to its hydrophilic properties (active substances actively attract soil moisture), it ensures stable seed swelling and increases the level of field germination regardless of soil moisture conditions;
• polymers in the composition of the formulation allow the pesticides to be evenly distributed over the surface of the seed and reliably fixed on it;
• the film performs a transport function for other active substances of this product, as well as those products that are used simultaneously. In addition, it allows for more active absorption of nutrients from the soil by the seed and  continuation of transporting them into the plant cell through the membrane;
• such properties of the formulation are most relevant when the seed is in cold soil, because it is owing to this that the seed can maintain its germination under early sowing conditions.

When active substances penetrate the cell, the structure of the cell membrane is modified and the enzymatic activity of the cells increases. Therefore, even in cold soil conditions, the development of embryonic roots begins and the growth processes of the root system are activated.

The application of the formulation VIMPEL^® MAXI NS allows you to increase the rate of root system development by 12-45%, compared to untreated seeds.

Studies have shown that as a result of long-term storage (18 months), seeds treated with the formulation VIMPEL^® MAXI NS retain germination energy and germination at the level of the control variant.
