ORAKUL® colofermine of boron is a concentrated boron micronutrient fertilizer in organic (easily digestible by plants) form for foliar feeding of field, vegetable and perennial crops.fertilizer boron
Boron is involved in pollen germination and growth of the fruit, so when there is a deficiency in it, seed production of plants sharply reduces. Boron plays an important role in cell division and protein synthesis and is a necessary component of plasma membrane. Boron executes an extremely important function in carbohydrate metabolism. Boron scarcity results in disruption of outflow of plastic substances, foremost sugar from leaves. Crops, which require boron the most are sugar beets, potatoes, sunflowers, flax, legumes, vegetables, alfalfa and spiked cereals.
Sod-podzol, gray and brown forest soils are poor in boron. Reduction of boron digestion also occurs in acidic soils due to binding with minerals, for example calcareous soils. Boron deficiency is enhanced with the application of nitrogen fertilizers in excessive amounts when there is moisture deficit.
A typical display of distortion due to the lack of boron is dieback of apical points, which is associated with the accumulation of toxic phenols. This process progresses more rapidly at elevated temperatures. The root system is poorly developed, there is a cessation of root and stem growth, then there is a chlorosis of the top of apical point, and later if there is a strong boric deficiency it dies back completely. Lack of boron particularly affects reproductive organs of plants, when the diseased plants do not form any flowers or there are very few of them, barren flowers appear and the fruit drop takes place. The root system develops slowly, as boron plays a significant role in its development.
ORAKUL® colofermine of boron should be applied to eliminate the symptoms of boron deficiency and in order to prevent diseases. The boron in it is in the colofermine form both in terms of the degree of polymerization: tetraborates, pentoborates, hexoborates, and others, and in terms of the presence of various cations – alkali metals, ammonium organic salts, which determines a wider spectrum of its effect. Due to its organic nature the microfertilizer is completely absorbed through the leaf surface of plants. It does not contain any ballast additives, so it does not cause leaf burn.

ORAKUL® colofermine of boron contains cryoprotectants that protect plants from damage during extreme weather conditions – frost, drought. Cryoprotectants also ensure the stability of the formulation without the threat of crystallization at low temperatures during storage.
Due to the microfertilizer pollen germinates better; shedding of fruit stops and development of the reproductive organs is enhanced. When applying ORAKUL® colofermine of boron preventively, sugar content in sugar beet and fruit as well as starch content in potatoes increases.
The microfertilizer is in the liquid state and is ready for immediate use. Due to the high concentration of the active ingredients, storage at low temperatures may result in the product decrease of viscosity and its gelling.
Increase of ambient temperature causes the increment of liquid viscosity and the formulation returns to its original state. These processes do not affect in any way the formulation active ingredients and its properties.
The composition of the microfertilizer allows its application, when air temperature is above +5°C.
The microfertilizer with boron contains water softener, therefore the use of plant protection products in hard water (high content of Ca2+ and Mg2+ salts) in conjunction with ORAKUL® colofermine of boron does not reduce their effectiveness. Hardness salts are reliably bound by the formulation component, without causing turbidity of the spraying solution. There is no danger of the calcium sulphate (gypsum) formation, which can lead to breakdown of spraying machinery. When conducting treatments use а freshly mixed solution.
ORAKUL® colofermine of boron has a significant physiological effect on plants, namely:
- enhances development of the reproductive organs;
- stimulates pollen germination, improves pollination of flowers;
- decreases fruit drop, increases fruit formation;
- increases enzyme activity, activates protein and phosphorus metabolism;
- provokes an intensive water absorption by plant from the soil;
- has a positive effect on sugar accumulation in the tissues of winter crops and fruits of sugar beet, fruit, increases starch content in potatoes.
It is recommended for use in conjunction with VIMPEL 2® plant growth stimulant.
Micronutrient fertilizers
