REFERI PH LEVEL STABILIZER
The effectiveness of pesticide application depends on a number of factors – both natural and man-made. Therefore, to ensure high technological efficiency of plant protection products, an important point when preparing working solutions is the use of water, the parameters of which will not negatively affect the properties of the mixture. Most of the active substances that make up pesticides are weak acids. If the acidity levels of the elements of the active substance and water are the same, dissolution occurs normally, dissociation occurs. But if the pH level is high, the formation of ions that do not have pesticidal properties is observed, which leads to a decrease in the formulation effectiveness. In addition, hydrolysis may occur – an irreversible reaction, during which water no longer acts as a solvent, but as an element of a chemical reaction. Chemical bonds are destroyed with the formation of new molecules without pesticidal properties. The application of the formulation REFERI® allows you to adjust the acidity level, which in turn increases the application efficiency of all types of plant protection products, growth regulators and micronutrient fertilizers.
REFERI® is an effective water pH corrector and is used to prepare tank mixtures with all types of plant protection products, growth regulators, micronutrient fertilizers and bioformulations. The original components of REFERI® perform an acidifying function in the water for the tank mixture and reduce the pH to optimal values.
The acidifying effect is achieved by binding excess hydroxide ions (OH ) and converting them into water. Application of the REFERI® pH level corrector helps to avoid the destruction (hydrolysis) of plant protection products, helping them to maintain their high efficiency and reliability, regardless of the initial pH level of the water or tank mix.
EFFECTS OF APPLICATION

Purpose: is applied during preparation of a tank mixture with water, which has an increased alkalinity level.
Hydrogen pH, units: 1.2-1.8.
Compatibility with other products: the formulation can be used together with pesticides, growth regulators, microfertilizers and biological formulations.
Formulation application rate: working solution is formed on the day of application according to the rates indicated on the label. The average application rate of the product is 20-40 ml per 100 liters, but is practically calculated from the initial pH level.
Since the pH of water is an individual indicator, very specific for each case, determining the application rate of REFERI® requires a certain method of model technique application. Use small quantities of imitation mixture, bring its pH values up to 6 units. After determining the required volume of REFERI® stabilizer in the imitation solution, its application rate for the entire volume of the tank mixture can be easily found.

Formulation application rate: working solution is formed on the day of application according to the rates indicated on the label.
The average application rate of the product is 20-40 ml per 100 liters of water, but in practice it is calculated from the initial pH level.
Required materials and reagents:
- measuring glass with 250-500 mL markings;
- pH meter (calibrated);
- 1 ml syringe (insulin);
- pH stabilizer REFERI®.
Pour water in milliliters in the glass in proportion to the working fluid consumption rate per hectare (approximately 250 mL, if the rate is 250 L/ha). Subtract 10-15 mL from this volume. Add the components used in the tank mixture to the glass in accordance with the consumption rate in mL/ha=L/ha/:1000.
Finally, add the pesticides which will be used, and bring the volume of water in the glass to the value of the working fluid consumption rate per hectare, determined in milliliters. Next, place the pH meter electrodes in the glass and measure the pH of the environment. If the pH value is in the range of 6-7 units, there is no point in conductiong the correction.
If the pH value is more than 7 units, it is necessary to draw 1 mL of the REFERI® pH level stabilizer into the syringe and add it drop by drop (3 drops) to the glass. After each portion, stir the mixture. Thus, achieve a pH value of 6 units. Next, determine the volume of REFERI® used to acidify the model tank mix (in mL) using the syringe markings.
The total required volume of the REFERI® preparation for the entire tank mix (V total) per hectare in liters is calculated using the formula:
V total = 1000 • R, where:
V total ﹘ the total required volume of the REFERI® formulation in liters;
R ﹘ the volume of the stabilizer used to neutralize the model tank mix (mL).
The REFERI® product must be added to the tank mix after pouring in water, before adding the components.
