ORAKUL® colofermine of manganese is a concentrated chelated manganese micronutrient fertilizer for foliar feeding of field, vegetable and perennial crops.

The formulation eliminates effectively manganese deficiency in plants. It does not contain any ballast additives, so it does not cause leaf burn, it is completely absorbed through the leaf surface of plants.

Under the influence of fungi, viruses and bacteria, which are the causative agents of various diseases of agricultural crops, plants experience pathological changes in physiological processes, which cause disruption of cell functions and ultimate death of the organism. A plant organism affected by a disease is a kind of biological system where the pathogen grows and develops. Infection with diseases, first of all, leads to a decrease in the photosynthetic area of the leaves, their premature aging and, ultimately, death. In addition, developing inside the plant organism, the pathogen changes and disrupts all physiological processes. The flow of nutrients synthesized by the plant is directed to the development of the pathogen. Manganese microfertilizer can prevent the occurrence of these negative consequences.

Manganese is involved in the formation of plastids (responsible for the normal course of photosynthesis) and thereby prevents the development of cercosporosis and alternariosis, which can cause up to 50% of crop losses. Jaundice is quite harmful, it can reduce the yield of table beet taproots by 25 to 65%, and to prevent the development of the disease, it is necessary to use a microfertilizer with manganese. Manganese also prevents the appearance of dark spots on the roots, as a result of which the plant is protected from the penetration of various pathogens.

In addition, manganese is involved in the synthesis of lignin – a component of the cell wall. Lignification of plant tissues, that is, the deposion of lignin on the cellulose cell wall, is one of the main processes that occur in the plant organism. Lignin plays a supportive role in protection against pathogens (powdery mildew, rust and other), it protects dead plant cells from bacterial decomposition. Lignin is found in the cell walls of mechanical, conductive and parenchymal tissues together with hemicelluloses, which determine mechanical strength (plant resistance to lodging, especially with high nitrogen supply).

The microfertilizer has the function of a growth stimulant. It affects the formation of vascular bundles, the motor response of leaves and flowers, flowering, growth and ripening of fruits, the fall of leaves, fruit drop, and is responsible for the phenomena of photo- and geotropism in plants.

Manganese increases root respiration, enhances the absorption of nitrate nitrogen. When plants consume nitrate nitrogen, it acts as a reducing agent, whereas in the case of ammonia feeding it is an active oxidizer. In both cases, the intensity of the redox processes and synthesis of organic compounds in the plant is increasing.

The most susceptible to manganese deficiency are winter crops, sugar beets, legumes, potatoes, cabbage, barley, flax, pear and peach.

Plants that are most in need for manganese grow on carbonate, alkaline and saline soils, where manganese is in a bound state. Also its availability is reduced at low atmospheric temperature and high humidity of the soil (early spring).

When manganese starvation takes place, chlorosis can be observed on young leaves. Yellow-green or yellow-gray color appears between the veins of leaves, the veins remain green, giving the leaves mottled appearance. Signs of its deficiency primarily can be observed near the base of the leaves.

In order to prevent and eliminate the symptoms of the disease, the plants should be treated several times with a solution of micronutrient fertilizer ORAKUL® colofermine of manganese.

Due to the complex impact of manganese and sulfur, which are part of the formulation, there is an essential improvement of crop quality indicators: sugar content in sugar beet roots and fruits of perennial crops, starch in potato tubers, protein in grains of spiked cereals, vitamin C in fruits, berries and vegetables. Also, the formulation speeds up the growth and development of fruit trees, thus reducing the time of their entry into fruition.

ORAKUL® colofermine of manganese contains water softener, therefore the use of plant protection products in hard water (high content of Ca2+ and Mg2+ salts) in conjunction with ORAKUL® colofermine of manganese does not reduce their effectiveness. Hardness salts are reliably bound by the formulation component, without causing turbidity of the spraying solution. There is no danger of the calcium sulphate (gypsum) formation, which can lead to breakdown of spraying machinery. When conducting treatments use а freshly mixed solution. The composition of the microfertilizer allows its application, when air temperature exceeds +5°C.

ORAKUL® colofermine of manganese has a significant physiological effect on plants, namely:

  • eliminates lodging, especially in case of high nitrogen fertilizer dosage;
  • improves crop quality indicators;
  • improves the water-holding capacity of plant tissues;
  • prevents the destruction of chloroplasts, hence making photosynthesis the most efficient;
  • accelerates the photosynthesis, plant respiration and absorption of nitrate nitrogen.

It is recommended for use in conjunction with VIMPEL 2® plant growth stimulant.

1. INFORMATION FOR CONSUMERS: follow the instructions when using the formulation. The efficacy of the formulation and its ease of use depend on the application, storage and transportation conditions specified by the manufacturer.

2. COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER FORMULATIONS: the micronutrient fertilizer is applied during the growing season either prophylactically or according to the diagnostics results based on the application regulations. It performs well in tank mixes with plant protection products (unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer of the plant protection products), urea (in the recommended concentrations when using foliar fertilization of agricultural crops according to the crop growth stages), UAN, plant growth regulators, microfertilizers and biological preparations.

3. PREPARATION OF WORKING TANK SOLUTION:

Warning! Prior to starting preparation of a tank mix, always check the formulations for compatibility!

For this purpose take a container, pour in it some water (which is to be used for the main application), add the tank mix components in proportions, based on the field rates of consumption. After closing the container, mix the contents by shaking it 10-15 times. Evaluate the tank mixture visually twice: immediately after mixing and after the mixture has settled (in about 30 minutes). Incompatibility of formulations is indicated by their separation into layers, residuum occurrence, flocculation of the mixture, formation of sludge that does not disperse.

Attention! It is possible to use the formulation in hard water due to the water softener in its composition. At the same time, if there is high concentration of hardness salts and significant amount of water, it is possible that after some time there will be a slight separation of hardness salts in the form of gypsum (СаSO4٠2H2O). In this case, the amount of sulfur in the solution is slightly reduced. These processes in no way affect the solution usability or cause the possibility of spraying equipment failure, as the formulation is finely dispersed. When forming a tank mixture in hard water, we recommend spraying with the mixing mode turned on. After application of the tank mix, it is necessary to rinse the tank with water to prevent the overgrowth of gypsum crystals.

If there are no compatibility problems, prepare the working solution just before spraying (direct application). Shake the product thoroughly in the original package and pour it directly into the sprayer tank, which is to be previously filled with water to 2/3 of its volume. After this with the mixing mode turned on add the components of the tank mixture in sequence stated in the recommendations and finish the process with filling the tank with water. Stirring of the mixture should be continued throughout the period of its preparation, as well as during application.

Application rates of the spraying solution: field crops — 70-300 L/ha, vegetables — 300-400 L/ha, fruit crops and grapes — 800-1000 L/ha.

5. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: spraying should be done either early in the morning or in the evening, when the humidity level is high to avoid chemical leaf burn. The optimum air temperature is +10…+25 °С (50 — 77 ºF), wind speed up to 5 — 7 m/s depending on the sprayer type. It is not recommended carrying out spraying operations during foggy weather or in the presence of dew, which can lead to surface overflow of the solution and hence the reduction of the treatment efficiency. The spraying should be stopped 1.5 — 2 hours before the rain.

Attention! Use а freshly mixed solution. Do not store the prepared solution more than 24 hours.

6. STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION: storage and transportation must be carried out in accordance with ГОСТ 14189 (National State Standard).

The formulation should be stored in a warehouse or storage building, designed specifically for this purpose. Storage area should be free of direct sunlight, moisture, pollution and mechanical damage to the container. Store at temperature above 0 ºС below +30 ºС (50 — 86 ºF), in the original closed package in an upright position, with the cap facing up in a cardboard box. Do not stack cardboard boxes more than 3 high.

Decrease of temperature below -15 ºС (5 ºF) results in the product decrease of viscosity, the prolonged storage may cause sediment formation.

Any form of transport is possible while in covered vehicles. The use of open vehicles, which provide protection against precipitation, is allowed as well.
